An incredible Italian coral filigree necklace from the Arts & Crafts period (ca1900)! This artistic piece is crafted in silver and features an elaborate centerpiece that hangs from a complimentary chain. The fine filigree work is incredibly ornate, complete with swirled wirework, shapely cutouts, and delicate beadwork throughout. There are seven natural coral cabochons interspersed within the design, each in a bezel setting surrounded by a wirework frame. Three of the coral links dangle from strands at the base in a lovely festoon style. The pendant hangs from a complimentary chain made of swirled filigree links, which meet at a hook clasp in the back. This well-crafted necklace is exemplary of the Arts & Crafts era and would make a unique addition to any jewelry collection!
